This Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan trip that gives you an opportunity to explore temples and shrines of historical and archaeological interests in the medieval towns of Kathmandu valley where you will view sights that will take you back almost 300 years in time, where feudalism ruled the day until a single man called Prithvi Narayan Shah thought differently and unified a whole nation; that began a lineage of kings till present day Nepal. Added to this will be a blitz into Nepal’s exotic wildlife at the Chitwan National park. During the Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan tour, you will get to see the massive one-horned rhino, light-footed deer, an elephant breeding centre and the elusive tiger napping in the shade.

After this trip of Kathmandu in the wild, you will drive to Pokhara through a lush, green highway where from the windows of your vehicle, your eyes will behold snowy mountain landscapes and in the course of your drive, you will pass through little hamlets and villages on the way that will give you some deep insights into Nepal’s rural lifestyles; till you finally reach Pokhara, a beautiful scenic lake town where nature is amplified with the views of majestic peaks almost at touching distance, clean water lakes with boating and canoeing thrills at your service. During your Pokhara trip, you will also see some natural wonders of nature in waterfalls and gorges and at dusk, when the sun dips behind the mountains, glimpses of twilight lighten up the skies that herald the end of day….and as you slumber after a wonderfully tiring day; the sound of crickets gently put you into blissful sleep…..it’s another day that will go into your diary….a story for the generations to come. It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. A representative and driver from our office will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The representative will help you check into your designated hotel. At the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities.
On the second day, you will be taken for sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence. Patan and Bhaktapur, its two major neighboring cities bear immense historical, cultural and religious significances. There will be a guided tour to the famous and biggest Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal Boudhanath, and Swoyambhunath. During your Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour, you will also be taken for a tour of Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is popular for its medieval temples and Durbar Square. As you visit Lion Gate, Golden Gate, Art Gallery, Statue of King Bhupatindra, Nyatapola Temple, the 15th century Malla Palace of 55 windows and other historical monuments, you gain invaluable insight into Nepalese culture. You also visit Patan, which is 5km away from Kathmandu. Patan Durbar Square, Mahabouddha Temple, Kumbeshwor temple, Krishna Temple and Golden Temple are the major attractions of Patan.
You will be driven to Kurintar early in the morning. After 4-hours drive, you arrive in Kurintar. Under the guidance of a river guide, you venture into a river trip up to Kurintar. Rafting along the exciting rapids of Trishuli River like Twin Rock, Ladies Delight and Scout Upset can be a mind-blowing experience. During this meticulously organized river trip, you journey through breath-taking alpine scenery and amazing rapids cutting through some of the most varied geology. After the day's activity you will be driven to Chitwan.
Chitwan prides itself in its rich wildlife and lush vegetation. Rare species of birds and animals, including the one-horned rhino and the Royal Bengal Tiger, inhabit the deep jungle of Chitwan National Park is one of the most interesting tourist destination. During your Chitwan tour, you will be taken on a jungle safari to explore its wildlife. Your safari excursion includes elephant safari, jeep safari, canoeing and bird watching. In the evening you get to enjoy the local Tharu stick dance, a slide show demonstrating the culture of Nepal and a special meal.
You drive through Prithivi Highway approx 200km to Pokhara. On your way, you will pass by the banks of Trishuli River, villages, cultivated fields, picturesque landscape and snow-capped Himalayan peaks. You also get excellent views of Himalchuli, Dhaulagiri, the five peaks of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. After reaching Pokhara, you can either go for boating on Phewa Tal or spend your time as you wish.
On the sixth day, you will be taken for a sightseeing tour of Pokhara, a charming city and one of the most famous tourist destinations in Nepal, offers fabulous scenic views. You will definitely enjoy the sightseeing tour. Set amidst the spectacular backdrop of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre, the must visit sites of Pokhara includes the Phewa Lake, Davis fall, Mahendra cave, the famous Seti Gorge, the beautiful temple of Bindha Basini and Pokhara Mountain Museum.
On the 7th day of Chitwan, Pokhara, Kathmandu tour, you will fly back to Kathmandu. In the morning you will be taken for an excursion to Sarangkot. On a 3 hour walk (up the mountain) from Pokhara, lies Sarangkot. Located at an altitude of 1592 m, it is the highest point on the Pokhara valley rim .From here you can see the whole Pokhara Valley and the Annapurna ranges (Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Machhapuchure , Annapurna III , Annapurna II , Annapurna IV and Lamjung Himal). Afterwards you will take a 30 minutes flight back to Kathmandu .After reaching Kathmandu, you can spend the remaining hours as you wish.
After completing your Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan tour, our driver and airport representative will drive you to the airport for your final departure.
